Our History
HOPWA Foundation is the non-profit organization aiming to provide a sustainable life for the underpriviledged in our communities through provision of basic needs.
As such, we work with the elderly and sick who are poverty-striken to provide for their daily necessities by giving them hope for better days ahead.
Founded in 2019 by Mr. Phillip Gikunju with the goal of providing sustainable living conditions for people living with HIV/AIDs and the elderly. His inspiration stems from his christianity beliefs of extending a hand of generosity to those in need of help.
The Foundation countinously achieves cumulative success as the years go by that is evident from the testimonies of families falling under the arm of Hopwa Foundation.

In the spirit of philanthrophy, Mr. Githinji has emerged as the epitome of social change in his community. Shortly after retiring from the tourism industry, he started Hopwa Foundation to provide basic needs for of the underpriviledged families.
Veronica Wanjiru
Program Manager
She processes membership applications, renewals, and resignations while maintaining and updating their records. Furthermore, she assists with member communication activities and collection of data, tracking membership statistics, and preparing reports.
John Gikunju
Administrative Assistant
An astute young gentleman immersed in the organization`s mission to ensure that families part of Hopwa Foundation receive utmost services and providence every month.
Agrey Ogaro
Public Relations
Mr. Aggrey Ongaro is the program coordinator who has previously served in different NGOs. He brings on board the hands on experience of working with the community where he has worked with orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), in Youth projects (health communication) and with the key population (KP-female sex workers project) in Naivasha.
Prudence Kariuki
Web Developer
She is a web developer with in-depth experience in creating websites that help organizations address business challenges and meet their needs. She manages everything from website navigation and layout to a company’s web hosting and security architecture. Her expertise lies within front-end web apps, and the main languages in her tech stack are JavaScript, PHP, and of course HTML/CSS.
